One of our goals at Whipporwill is to emulate life in a supportive setting so that clients can learn to thrive beyond the treatment environment. With one-on-one support from their Therapeutic Mentor and the guidance of a multidisciplinary team, clients begin to develop meaningful life skills through lived experience, reflection, and practice. Each individual creates and implements a schedule rooted in their own values, interests, and goals—fostering a sense of agency, internal motivation, and space for self-discovery.

New clients are supported in following a structured daily routine as they begin the process of identifying what wellness looks and feels like for them. Day to day, staff provide encouragement, co-regulation, and practical support to help maintain a rhythm that promotes overall well-being. As clients grow in insight and willingness, their schedules may begin to incorporate academic courses, part-time work, volunteer opportunities, or other recurring commitments that align with their evolving sense of purpose and possibility.
