Tracy Hopkins, MSW, CPDC - Executive Director

Tracy brings over 27 years of experience in mental healthcare to her role as Executive Director at Whipporwill, where she leads with a blend of clinical understanding, operational leadership, and deep human insight. With a master’s degree in clinical social work and a career that spans direct care, program development, and executive-level strategy, Tracy is a trusted guide for both individuals and organizations navigating complexity, trauma, and change.

Since entering the field in 1998, Tracy has worked alongside adolescents, adults, and families facing challenges related to neurodiversity, trauma, identity development, substance use, family systems, anxiety, depression, and co-occurring diagnoses. Her deep programmatic foundation coupled with clinical training and education informs every layer of her leadership—ensuring that the mission and methods of care at Whipporwill remain rooted in relational integrity, meaningful progress, and purpose.

Throughout her career, Tracy has held pivotal roles that span the full continuum of care and leadership: from frontline therapeutic mentoring to Program Director, Admissions and Business Development leader, Director of Operations overseeing HR and Finance, and ultimately, senior-level mentor to emerging and seasoned leaders alike. As a former Director of Engagement, she also provided one-on-one coaching and leadership development to clinical and executive team members—supporting alignment, emotional intelligence, and long-term leadership sustainability. She has guided executive teams through strategic growth, systems recalibration, and organizational culture development—always with an eye toward sustainable impact and trauma-informed care.

A nationally sought-after facilitator and systems strategist, Tracy utilizes Appreciative Inquiry as a foundation for her organizational assessments—helping teams move beyond surface-level solutions to unearth root issues and implement meaningful change. Her ability to align human-centered leadership with intentional systems design makes her a key contributor to sustainable, values-driven change.
